As soon as the new Tacoma arrives on our lot, the Toyota of Irving team can give you a tour of this next-generation midsize pickup. Let’s see why the 2024 Toyota Tacoma debut was so successful and why drivers can’t wait to get behind the wheel as soon as this brawny new truck arrives.
If you thought the 2023 edition of the new Toyota Tacoma was stellar, wait until you experience the new 2024 Tacoma redesign. This popular midsize pickup is earning a top spot in its segment with new turbocharged powertrains, including a hybrid variant, enhanced performance, new trims, updated features, and excellent efficiency.
The legendary capability of Toyota trucks lives on in the reimagined Tacoma pickup. Every trim is purpose-built to withstand the rigors of daily work and weekend play, and the all-new Trailhunter trim is specifically designed for our off-road enthusiasts. The result is a sophisticated vehicle that balances function and utility with adventure and freedom. Are you ready to meet the 2024 Tacoma? It’s arriving soon, so let’s get ready!
Two new powertrains bring more muscle to the 2024 Toyota Tacoma lineup, replacing the previous-generation engines with more power and better performance. A new 2.4-liter i-FORCE turbo inline four-cylinder comes standard on entry trims, generating 243 pound-feet of torque and 228 horsepower alongside RWD with an Automatic Limited-Slip Differential. This engine also snags an EPA-estimated 20/26/23 MPG (City/Highway/Combined),1 which is quite impressive gas mileage for such a powerful truck.
Upper trims give you access to a new hybrid powertrain – a 2.4-liter i-FORCE MAX inline four-cylinder that’s turbocharged, equipped with either full-time 4WD with electronic locking center differential or 4WDemand part-time 4WD, and ready to conquer any terrain in its path. This hybrid powertrain fits an electric motor between the truck’s engine and transmission, delivering near-instant torque to all four wheels.
For extreme off-road capability, you’ll love the adjustable internal bypass shocks of the TRD Pro trim and the new Old Man Emu 4×4 suspension on the Trailhunter trim that provides enhanced load-carrying capability.
Stay tuned for the upcoming 2024 Toyota Tacoma MPGe hybrid specs once they’re officially released by the EPA. Although we don’t have a definitive number yet, the Tacoma truck’s hybrid fuel economy is expected to be quite competitive within its segment.
Expect to be just as impressed with the 2024 Tacoma interior as you are by its capabilities. This reimagined pickup comes fully loaded with a driver-centric cabin, giving you access to available features like a new 14-inch touch screen, leather-trimmed accents and upholstery, a premium 10-speaker JBL Audio System, and seamless smartphone integration to keep you connected and entertained on every adventure, on-road or off.
Made with our tailgaters and campers in mind, the Tacoma truck also has an available FLEX portable Bluetooth® speaker that sits mounted in the center of the dash and can be taken out of the truck for external use while enjoying the great outdoors. The speaker is waterproof, dust-proof, and ready for your next gathering.

The TRD Pro and first-ever Tacoma Trailhunter trims give you the i-FORCE MAX powertrain as standard equipment. They feature a heritage-inspired front grille with an integrated light bar, a bed storage box, and a high-clearance front bumper. The top-trim TRD Pro and Trailhunter models also offer heated steering wheels, Qi-wireless charging, and a power moonroof and sliding sunshade.
The Toyota of Irving team is thrilled to bring these redesigned Tacoma trucks into our showroom soon, and as soon as they arrive, we’ll be here to answer any questions you may have about the redesign. The new 2024 Toyota Tacoma midsize pickup truck does not have a V-6 engine. Instead, it features two inline four-cylinder powertrain options: a standard 2.4-liter i-FORCE turbocharged motor in entry trims or a hybrid 2.4-liter i-FORCE MAX turbocharged motor in upper trims. Both engines deliver exceptional performance and fuel economy, with the hybrid engine expected to deliver more fuel-efficient ratings.
You can order a 2024 Toyota Tacoma as soon as the new trims arrive at our dealership, which will be soon at the time of this writing. The release date has already come and gone, and this truck is in production as we speak, so until it’s delivered to our showroom, you can stay updated on the availability of the completely reimagined Toyota pickup by contacting our Toyota team.
When properly equipped with the standard 2.4-liter turbocharged engine, the 2024 Toyota Tacoma can tow from 3,500 pounds to a max of 6,500 pounds. However, towing specs for the hybrid i-FORCE MAX powertrain have yet to be released by the Toyota brand. Towing capacity varies by trim, engine, cab style, and bed length. Stay tuned for full towing details once this truck arrives.
