The countdown to Halloween is on! That means it’s time to figure out what kind of candy to give out to all the trick or treaters in your neighborhood. So, to help you out, we’ve put together a little list of the top 5 Halloween candies of 2018, to help you come to a decision!
5 – Sour Patch Kids
Nobody likes candy corn. That’s a pretty general rule we’re okay with throwing out there. Good for you if you’re going against the grain, but don’t get it for the kids in your neighborhood. Unless… you go with Sour Patch Kids’ Candy Corn, a new treat they’re trying out this year that looks pretty delicious!
While black licorice is almost as toxic as candy corn and is sure to land you on the “do not stop” list, Twizzlers are always a good bet. This year, the company has created some fun Orange & Black Cherry flavors for Halloween. It remains to be seen if the new flavors are good, but everyone likes to try something new.
3 – Hershey’s Kisses
While people might not always go out of their way to buy Hershey’s Kisses, nobody complains when they get a chance to eat them. Kisses are simple and delicious, and this year’s Spooky Kisses wrappers are sure to liven up your trick-or-treat bowl.
Reese’s are generally number one on most lists, but they’ve got a couple of new gimmicks that you can pick up that kids are sure to love. One of them is Monster Mania, which is similar to their Christmas trees and Easter eggs, in that they’re simply shaped into different monsters. Another option is to go with the Glow in the Dark wrappers, which is pretty cool!
1 – Kit Kat
That brings us, finally, to the #1 option, which are Kit Kat bars. While you can never go wrong with a classic fun size Kit Kat, there are a few special options to choose from this year. Spooky foils and Glow in the Dark wrappers are similar to other options on the list, but they’re also offering Kit Kat Dark this year, which is a dark chocolate version of their normal miniatures.
Whatever you decide to get, you should be fine! What’s your favorite Halloween treat? Tell us in the comments below!

October signals the start of Fall but it’s also National Car Care Month! Now is an excellent time to tune up your vehicle. Continue reading to learn three quick maintenance tips that will get your car ready for any weather!
Check Your Tires
Check tire pressure, including the spare. Tires can lose one pound of pressure for every drop of 10-degrees Fahrenheit so it’s important to follow the pressure outlined in the owner’s manual for your vehicle. You should also inspect tires for bulges and bald spots.
Check Your Brakes
Fall is an ideal time to have your brake system checked. Brakes are necessary to vehicle safety and extremely important when driving on slippery roads. A full inspection should include brake linings, rotors and drums.
Charge Your Battery
Check your battery connections to make sure they are tight, clean and free of corrosion. Cold weather can be hard on batteries so you’ll want to check your battery and charging system. If you’re battery is more than three years old, you may want to replace it since there are no warning signs for a failing battery.
